The different levels for the competition
These are the three levels of competition – find the one most suitable for your and get started painting.
1) The Squires
Open to painters up to 17 years old this is the competition where we hope to see a lot of the future talent battle it out in the following 2 categories.

This category is open for all miniatures based on gaming bases below 4×4cm square base/5 cm diameter circle.
Small ones

This category includes all miniatures on 4×4cm square base/ 5 cm diameter circle base and above.
Big ones
2) The Knights
This level is open to all painters but has a focus on mid level painters that still want to compete. The categories in this level focus solemnly on a higher level tabletop painting and we welcome characters/units for all games (but you won’t be able to use the unit for gaming while it is entered in the competition.

A unit/regiment consists of 3-10 miniatures painted as a cohesive group,
3) The Heroes of the crown
This competition is open to everyone that dares to enter and it is the highest level of competition at the Kingdom-Con. Winners will, not only, take home the honor but also a special trophy designed by the Art Center.

Whatever you can paint – you can submit to this category. Dioramas, 54 mm display minis – whatever we can fit in our cabinet.
Open category
General rules
- Each painter can only enter one miniature/category.
- Each painter can submit entries to all the available categories as long as the painter and the model meet the other requirements of that category.
- You are not allowed to submit work by anyone but yourself. This means that if you are not attending the event your buddy can’t submit your entry for you.
- You will not be able to have access to your submitted entries after you have dropped it off until the pick up time has come.
- This competition is for gaming miniatures and as such all the miniatures (except for the open competition) needs to be based on gaming appropriate bases. There will be no extra points for elaborate display bases (except for the open competition).
A few notes regarding the competition
All submissions needs to be handed in between 12 pm and 6 pm on Saturday the 17 closer to the event). Participants will be able to pick up their pieces after 6 pm on Sunday the 18 glass cabinet for all to admire. All entries will be photographed and published on the Kingdom-Con website including winners of the different categoriesand winners will be announced on Sunday the 18th. All entries will be judged by a panel of painters of different levels to allow for a more nuanced judging process – none of the judges are allowed to participate in the competition.
